a primary purpose of training individuals for employment in health care.

HEALTH CAREER TRAINING ASSOCIATES is dedicated to the provision and promotion of
quality, career-oriented educational opportunities for Nurses, Nursing Assistants, and
Laboratory Personnel, through classroom presentations, hands-on laboratory experience
and applicable on-the-job training in externship opportunities.

CONCERNED ABOUT GOING BACK TO SCHOOL— HAVEN’T STUDIED FOR A LONG TIME?
HCTA offers a variety of options to assist students who require help with study skills, reading,
basic math or basic English.
CHALLENGE EXAMS
Applicants who wish to waive a course, may do so by successfully passing a challenge
exam, at least 2 weeks prior to the start of a course.
Applicants must achieve at least 75% on the exam for a waiver.
Arrangements must be made with HCTA in advance
Fees: Written Exam only…………………….$75.00

Course Transfers/Withdrawals:
1. Course transfers from fully paid courses may be considered for justifiable reasons and
will be reviewed on a case- by-case basis. A transfer fee will apply.
2. Transferring into the next available course may be recommended if 15% or more of the
course has been missed and not made up. Course re-entry will be considered on a space
availability basis and transfer fees will apply.
3. All requests for course transfers/withdrawals must be made in writing. A form is
available in the school office and the student lounge. Verbal withdrawal will not be accepted.
The student’s course file will remain active until withdrawal notification is received in writing.
Any necessary refunds will be made based on the written date of notification.
4. An administrative fee of $75 will be charged for any course transfer/withdrawal that is
received within 72 hours prior to start date of the requested course.
