The Practical Nursing Program is consistent with the school's educational mission that
focuses on the provision and promotion of quality, career-oriented programs provided through
classroom presentation, hands-on lab experiences, and clinical training and practice in
community, ambulatory care, hospital and Long Term Care settings.
This all inclusive program will provide the practical nursing student the necessary learning
experiences to prepare her/him to practice caregiving within the scope and standard of care
directed by the regulatory/licensing body (BON) and the employing agency.   Evening and day
programs include a clinical experience every other weekend to average 24 hours per week.  
Part time schedules may be arranged on an individual basis.      

ADMISSION INFORMATION
Students will be considered for admission when their application file is complete. Students
are selected on a “first-qualified, first-admitted” basis.
All required paperwork must be received into the student's file before acceptance is final
All applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the English language.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
·      High School Diploma or GED including transcript
·      High School Algebra
·      Basic Life Support
·      State of NH Criminal Record Report
Admission Criteria:
·    
 Complete application and pay the non-refundable fee of $150.00.
·      Receive a passing score (60 or better in each category) on the Entrance Test
·      Two Confidential Recommendations attesting to the applicants ability to succeed in a
nursing program.
If entering with an LNA or MA credentials the following applies
·     Submit 2 employer/colleague recommendations that address:   Clinical Competence,
Work Ethic,  Aptitude for Transition to LPN role and reliability.
·     Current NH LNA license or certificate from another state. Copy of license must be provided
by the applicant.
·   Medical Assistants must provide official transcript of education from post secondary
education institution.
·    Related courses taken at another approved  institution within the past 5 years will be
considered for Academic Recognition with a grade of B- or higher.
May take challenge
exam if course is beyond 5 years. If student passes challenge exam, the appropriate transfer
fee will apply
·  Online courses will be considered for Academic Recognition with an official transcript from
an accredited post-secondary institution. The above policy applies
Additional Requirements:
·   Students are required to purchase uniforms, books & course materials.
·    Students must have their own reliable transportation.
·    Participate in a personal interview after successfully passing the entrance exam.
