Surgical Technology Program                                                                         Tuition $ 21,900
This program provides the theory and clinical experience to assure that the Surgical
Technologist graduate has the entry level expertise in both the theory and application of aseptic
techniques, the ability to safely care for surgical patients, and the skills needed for handling
special drugs, supplies and equipment which facilitate a surgeon’s performance of invasive
diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The Surgical Technologist is part of an operating room
team which also includes surgeons, surgical nurses and anesthesiologists.  The Surgical
Technologist, also known as a Scrub or Operating Room Tech, works under the supervision of
the surgeon or other surgical personnel.

ADMISSION INFORMATION
Students will be considered for admission when their application file is complete. Students are
selected on a “first-qualified, first-admitted” basis.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED.
Completed Application with $150.00 non-refundable application fee.
Completion of Wonderlic Aptitude Test   
A Criminal Records Check when admitted.
2 passport photos for ID badge and file.

Additional Requirements:
Obtain a Health Examination completed and signed by your physician within the past 12
months.   
Required immunizations:
        *   proof of vaccination against tetanus, rubella, rubeola, varicella and Hepatitis B
        *   PPD (purified protein derivative)status for tuberculosis exposure
Random drug screen as required
