General Requirements & Enrollment Information
What you will need to apply for admission and to meet with an Admissions Representative
- Completed Application with $25.00 non-refundable application fee.
The Enrollment process includes ,
- Completion of the ACCUPLACER for LNA & PN applicants or the Wonderlic Aptitude test
for Phlebotomy & Surgical Tech applicants.
- Meet with an Admissions Rep, Pay the Enrollment Fee Balance and sign the Enrollment
Agreement.
- Provide Secondary school transcript or GED certificate with scores.
- Official transcripts from institutions of higher learning previously attended if applying for
Credit
- Financial aid applications must be processed or payment arrangements made prior to
entering a class.
- A Criminal Records Check when admitted.
- Provide 3 passport photos for ID badge and file.
Salter School of Nursing & Allied Health Academic Placement Policy
Prior to the completion of an Enrollment Agreement, every student admitted to Salter School will
be required to demonstrate competencies in reading, writing and mathematics. A mandatory
assessment tool, the ACCUPLACER, will be used to identify the appropriate level coursework
for math and English and for courses impacted by one of these competencies. Students will not
be denied admission based on test scores. However, students may be required to successfully
complete a developmental skills course prior to beginning course work in the program of study
to which they have been admitted. Salter School’s placement policy may be waived, in full or in
part, if the following conditions are met:
- Completed an ACCUPLACER test within the past three years at another accredited
institution of higher learning and
- Can demonstrate successful achievement of coursework relative to placement test
results through official transcripts.
Online placements tests (ACCUPLACER) are administered by the Admissions office and taken
by appointment which will be scheduled when you enroll.
The following General Education courses are required for all programs.
- CPR/Professional Rescuer
- Computer Literacy for Health Care

Information.
* Nursing applicants must also complete the TEAS Entrance Test prior to entering nursing
course work. The minimum score for acceptance into the nursing program is 60 in each
category of reading,
writing and math.
SSNAH reserves the right to cancel or postpone a class pending enrollment.
